Autumn Sunshine at Grass Crag
What great weather the Northwest continues to get after such a wonderful summer. Grass Crag has the advantage of being one of the few Gairloch Sport Crags to get the sun all year. Goat Crag and Am Fasgadh are the other options when looking for a crag with a sunny aspect in the dark months. There are thirteen short routes, the best being ‘Waiting for the Man 6a+’ and ‘Third and Final 5’. Most of the climbs are in the 6b to 6c category. The climbing is fingery and the rock on the sharp side, it is sometimes brittle and snapping holds is not out of the question. Since being bolted the crag has become a well visited spot often combined with some trad. climbing on Aztec Tower.
