Beinn a’ Chearcaill, the Torridons
Wednesday was the best day of weather this week in Wester Ross and Paul was hill walking in the Torridons with George and Jenny. It was their first ever day in the hills outside of the Lakes and to their surprise and pleasure there wasn’t a soul to be seen all day. With the cloud just above the Torridon Munro summits the views in all directions from Beinn a’ Chearcaill’s unusual shaped summit seemed endless. The heather is in full bloom at the moment and the air is sweetly scented, the bees are busy harvesting in preparation for the winter. It does feel like summer is slowly fading, the best summer in fifteen years.
